Steve was an avid rock collector and artist whose works include illustrations in metaphysics (Love is in the Earth, Crystal Tarot by Melody), Native American art, decorative drum drawings, illustrated collectibles (Jasper eggs, vases, bears, drums, etc.), as well as many others. The journey began with Steve's fascination with the awesome beauty and amazing forms of nature's mineral creations for as far back as he can remember. Starting with a big desire and a small personal collection in 1985, Steve traveled the country in a rolling store (his van). The business slowly grew to a wholesale/retail distribution company serving jewelry makers, designers, retail gift and metaphysical shops, and individual collectors across the United States and abroad. Having the time of his life and making many life long friends along the way, he reluctantly gave up his nomadic journeying when his health began to suffer from a mysterious ailment that was not diagnosed for almost 10 years. He put away his shop jacket and his inventory was buried away like sunken treasure...until now!

Florence is a high energy business manager who spent the last 18 years serving customers in the industrial wholesale distribution industry for both public and private companies. An intrepid spirit and latent artist herself, when her last employer changed business models and pulled back due to the economy, she decided it was time to follow the direction of her inner voice and sow seeds of prosperity and goodness in her own fields.

Led by a desire to share the treasures they discovered and accumulated over the last 25 years (coupled with a desire to recover the space in their basement, garage, and office) they opened the business to the public again, this time on the world wide web! A new laptop, some computer skills, literally tons of inventory collected over 25 years and Stone Art Traders was (re)born.
